BIMM University is designated for student finance by the Department for Education, registered with the Office for Students in the approved (fee cap) category and was granted Degree Awarding Powers by the Privy Council in 2019.

Professor Mark Hunt is an independent consultant working with a range of Higher Education providers across the UK and abroad. He has over 30 years of experience in leadership and management positions in Higher Education and was Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University for the Creative Arts for 15 years. He joined BIMM Institute as our Non-Executive Director in December 2016.
As well as being Non-Executive Director at BIMM Institute (Deputy Chair of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee), Professor Hunt is also Non-Executive Director of Istituto Marangoni, London School of Fashion (Chair of the Board); Non-Executive Director of Sotheby’s Institute of Art (Chair of the Board); a special adviser to Laine Theatre Arts; and a member of the Trust for the Anglo-Portuguese School of London. He was also the inaugural Chair of the Strood Academy until 2018.
Professor Hunt has extensive experience as an academic developer in Art and Design, as a Quality Assurance Agency Auditor/Reviewer for England and Scotland, and as an external examiner within the UK and overseas. He is also a non-local auditor appointed by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Council (QAC).
In 2002, Professor Hunt was awarded the title of Professor of Crafts Education and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In 2015, the University for the Creative Arts granted the title of Professor Emeritus in recognition of his distinguished contribution.
Adam joined BIMM in January 2011, having worked in the Further Education sector since 2008 as Finance Director of an Apprenticeships training provider.
Before moving into the education sector, Adam held a number of senior finance and general management roles with organisations including Travelex Currency Services (Finance Director), DX Services (Divisional Managing Director) and Hays plc (Group Corporate Development Manager & Financial Controller). Adam is a Chartered Accountant and qualified with PwC. He also has an Economics degree from the University of Bath.
