Andy Weltman is Managing Director of APA International (Agency for the Performing Arts) and joined in January 2016 to establish and oversee the UK division. Andy is responsible for the company’s international interests and packaging film and TV projects in the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining APA, Andy was Executive Vice President of Pinewood International, responsible for bringing US productions to the company’s London studio. He was also instrumental in establishing and overseeing Pinewood’s first US facility.
Before Pinewood, Andy served as Executive Vice President for the British Film Commission in the US. Whilst there, Andy worked closely with the UK Government and spearheaded the team that successfully lobbied for the High-End TV Tax Incentive.
Andy’s impressive career spans three decades. He has extensive roots in production and has worked with some of the world’s most iconic directors, such as Peter Weir, Steven Spielberg, George Miller, Wolfgang Petersen and Robert Zemeckis. His filmography includes The Perfect Storm, Dead Poets Society, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
