Fees

£86.40
per month

Delivered over 36 weeks

2 hour workshops every Saturday

Sessions for 7 to 12-year-olds and 13 to 16-year-olds

What you’ll learn

Each week at BIMM Academy, the workshops are structured over two hours. The first hour is focused on learning a song in your individual instrument group, and the second hour is about taking what’s just been learned, coming together and performing it as a band.

Students learn between two to three songs per term and are taught relevant music theory as well as practical playing skills and techniques.

The repertoire is a combination of current rock and pop chart hits, as well as classic tracks that represent all the key genres, including blues, soul and funk too. Tutors are dedicated to ensuring your child learns their instrument, while also developing their performance skills.

Sure, no problem. We offer taster sessions where you can experience the whole two hour session and then decide.

Private tutoring is typically one-to-one instruction in areas such as theory and technique. We teach these aspects also, but we focus more on repertoire knowledge and playing in a band.

You don’t need to know any music theory before you join, our sessions will cover basic music theory and cater to all music ability levels.

The repertoire (songs) are chosen by our tutors with input from students to make sure they’re modern and are songs you’d like to learn. They’re also chosen based on the age and ability of the class.
